In the spring of 2009, Matol Botanical International, Ltd., was purchased by Univera, Ltd. Its products and distributors have now been assimilated into the Univera corporation, an excellent health products company. Several of the Matol products are currently being sold by Univera under the Matol logo.
Matol was founded in 1984 by two partners, Robert Bolduc and Anthony Jurak. As of February, 1997, J.F. Robert Bolduc, became the sole owner of Matol Botanical International, Ltd., with headquarters in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. October, 2008, marked Matol's 24th year in business. Over 33 million bottles of Matol Km have brought benefits to people around the world. Matol definitely fulfilled its corporate mission -- "To Impact World Health."

Karl Jurak developed his "preparation" in 1922, in his native Austria. People noticed the improvement in his energy level and general health and asked him to share his discovery. He freely shared with his friends until he moved to Canada in 1932.
It wasn't long before he was giving his "preparation" to friends in Canada. Karl's son, Anthony, gave some to his friend, J. F. Robert Bolduc. Robert, who has a Master of Business Administration degree, was very favorably impressed with the benefits he experienced and immediately recognized the commercial potential.
Robert and Anthony launched Matol Botanical International, Ltd., October 22, 1984, with a corporate mission -- "To Impact World Health." The company motto, which is reflected in the corporate logo, is "Give and Receive." Since the demand had grown through person-to-person distribution for over 60 years, network marketing seemed to be the most logical way to get the product to consumers.
The company grew slowly for the first few months but rapidly gained momentum in Canada. Karl's "preparation" had become "Matol."
In 1986, Robert and Anthony gave an equal share of the company to Sam Kalenuk, a very successful Distributor for a U.S. health product company, and Matol expanded into the U.S. market where the product is sold as "Km," a potassium-mineral supplement. At the time of its sale to Univera, Matol Botanical International was solely owned by Robert Bolduc.
