Who Are These People?
Kert and Marilynn are native Texans. Kert graduated from Texas A&M University in 1954 with a degree in Agronomy. After a tour in the Air Force as a pilot, he earned his Master of Science degree in Mathematics at Vanderbilt University, and became a Systems Engineer for IBM in 1960. His 30 year career with IBM took him to Dayton, Ohio; Cincinnati, Ohio; Washington, DC; and Dallas, TX. Most of his assignments were Health Industry related.
Marilynn spent her earlier years in Austin, Texas. She and Kert were married in 1977, and lived in Virginia prior to returning to Texas in 1981. Theirs is a "his-hers-and-ours" family, with five sons, twelve fantastic grand children, and "our" Sarah, who is now Mrs.Mike Heidler. Sarah is also a Matol distributor, and all the family works together to build their Matol business
Kert retired from IBM in 1990. Until August, 1999, he and Marilynn lived on their farm, about 30 miles north of Fort Worth. They now live in Kert's family home in Bertram, Texas, about 40 miles northwest of Austin. Their main interest is in helping people enjoy better health and better incomes!
Why Km?
Km literally changed their lives. In October, 1988, Kert was diagnosed as having rheumatoid arthritis. The pain in his lower back made it difficult to do his farm work on the week-ends. His physician said there was no cure and that it would get worse as he got older. She suggested exercise as a way to delay the worsening symptoms. He bought an exercise bike and began using it every day, but the discomfort steadily grew more intense.
A friend gave Marilynn a bottle of Km to try -- with a 100% guarantee. She thought she knew all she needed to know about vitamins and really didn't want to try it -- so she returned it. The truth is Km isn't just vitamins -- herbs are different!
Later, Marilynn decided to give it a try, and when she did, she got excited! -- because of the quick results! She woke up in the morning with no aches and pains in her joints and muscles.
She attended a Matol meeting, saw the business opportunity, and heard that Km helped arthritis. She enrolled as a Distributor, purchased a case, sold it in a day, and went back for a second case. There were more friends to tell over the week-end, and she convinced them to try it -- one was Kert, who had just come in from a business trip.
When Kert tried Km, it took away the arthritic pain the very next morning! So, he took some at lunch and again at dinner. He worked all that day with no pain! Kert has taken Km 2 to 3 times every day since April 1, 1989. If he forgets, he gets a little stiffness in his knuckles to remind him it's time for Km.
Kert and Marilynn now know from experience that such a quick response to Km is very unusual. About one-third of the people feel benefits within the first week, a second third feel benefits within a month, and a final third may take up to three months to feel a benefit. A friend in Annandale, Virginia, who had arthritis, took Km for three months before feeling any benefit. But by the end of the fourth month his life returned to normal! He could play golf and enjoy life. He's been taking Km since 1989, and became a Distributor so he would "never be without Km".
Marilynn starts her day with 1 oz. (two doses) of Km. If she is really tired she takes 1/4 to 1/2 oz. just before she goes to bed. She awakens feeling rested and "ready to go!"
Marilynn had had allergies most of her life. Being allergic to our farm animals and pets was a real problem. She had hypoglycemia for many years. It was finally diagnosed in 1970, and she had to avoid any food, such as sugars or starches, that would elevate her insulin levels. There were also female problems, PMS, etc., attributed to age.
When Km came into her life, she no longer had allergies, didn't need any medication, pets and animals were her friends again, and PMS was no longer a problem. Marilynn has a great outlook on life all the time -- no mood swings. Hair, nails, skin became healthy and shinning. She can eat anything she desires with no adverse reactions. These are just a few of the many good changes Km brought.
Kert and Marilynn are very grateful for their good health and the financial freedom Km has given them. And they especially enjoy working together with their many Matol friends.
Why Health?
Marilynn's interest in health came from years of fighting her own health challenges. She is now in excellent health and loves sharing her nutrition experience with others.
Kert has always been interested in health and science. One of his first assignments in IBM was to develop a proposal for the first computer-based, patient monitoring system. In Cincinnati, he worked with Drs. Gus Bahr, J. Kereiakes, and H. Horwitz to develop a mathematical technique for optimizing the placement of cobalt radiation in the treatment of cancer. He was IBM's project leader in installing the first hospital information system at Cincinnati General Hospital.
In 1971, Kert became a senior business planner for IBM's Health Industry Marketing group in Bethesda, Maryland. He worked with physicians and hospitals all over the United States and Europe for the next 16 years to assist in the design and marketing of IBM's health related products. He represented IBM in many joint developments with major universities and hospitals, such as Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York.
In September, 1989, when Marilynn's monthly Matol royalty check exceeded $1,000, Kert looked at his 35 mile daily commute from farm to office and decided she needed some "expert" help. He retired, February 1990, and they have had a wonderful time working together these past eighteen years. Where else could they have so much fun, help so many people, and make money!
